ONE OF THE BIGGEST ROAD LEGAL MONSTER TRUCKS IN THE UK!
Here for sale is my much loved and very well known 1977 Chevrolet Blazer monster truck used to advertise my business. This is one of if not the biggest street legal monster trucks in the United kingdom. It stands more than 9.5 feet tall and some 7.5 feet wide.
Sitting on huge 44" Dick Cepek tyres wrapped around original Mickey Thomson billet alloy wheels (worth a small fortune alone).
Full custom made ladder bar suspension coupled with hydraulic rock crawler steering system sits underneath 7 yes 7 shock absorbers
6" custom made body lift and relocated headlights to underneath the front bumper as the stock headlight are just too high with the bonnet sitting at just over 6 foot in height. All the underside mechanics are detailed painted or stainless braided. Easy to work on as every single part is visible and easy to maintain. The picture of the BMW X5 with the truck puts the size of this truck into perspective, it dwarfs everything.
Custom made front chrome tube grille along with full custom paintwork in dazzling pearl yellow and blue mica paint along with stars and strips airbrushed details. Due to the age of the Blazer there are a few cracks showing in the paintwork. The whole front end opens up tilting forward on remote electronic actuators revealing the Monster V8 in all its glory.
Very rare 1970s-1980s period KC Daylighter light rack sits on the roof along with five KC Daylighters (collectors item valued at over £700) and a fully lighted Lund sun visor. You cant fail to see this coming when all the lights are on.
The engine is a 350 5.7 litre Chevrolet V8 mated to TH350 gearbox the engine is fully dressed with billet alloy valve covers and air filter
Stainless steel custom made exhaust system with solenoid operated blanking plates to run on either normal relatively quite engine note ( quite for a 5.7 V8 engine ) or open headers no silencer and no muffler so extremely loud, loud enough to set not just car alarms off but house alarms too.
Just had full engine service with fluids filters and oil plus new belts.
Selectable 2 or 4 wheel drive is done on the floor mounted shifter
The inside is in good shape with in factory blue velour and has absolutely tonnes of space with a huge boot enough to swallow up 4 to suitcases that's if you can lift them above the 6 foot tailgate height.
Inside seats 5 people in comfort and the 2 front seats are swivel captain chairs with armrests.
Full Dakota Digital dashboard provides instrumentation
Alpine iDA 305S ipod head unit provides entertainment coupled with 6 speakers and two subs
Rear view camera is a much needed addition with full colour screen mounted in the dash as reversing a vehicle of this size and height is no easy task
Security is via a Scorpian alarm system
Most of the parts used to build this vehicle were privately imported from the USA at huge costs with a overall build cost of more than £35000
This is a huge and imposing vehicle which doesn't just turn heads it quite literally stops traffic. I've had some wild and exotic vehicles in the past but nothing as attention grabbing as this. If you are the shy and retiring type then stay well clear as this gets photographed more times than a supermodel. The Chevrolet Blazer has seen lots of use as a prom night / promotional vehicle and always steals the show. The vehicle has paid for itself this way. Not the smoothest or most comfortable drive but reasonably easy to handle with light power steering. It cruises easily on the motorway at 70mph with ease only pulling 1900rpm.
Regrettable sale at a very reasonable price due to house move.
